If this is your first service or if you’re just curious read this general overview of what’s involved when we come to your home or business.
Standard plant system check
Typically we will conduct a number of basic checks to kick off your system check. Tankology will look for obvious signs of malfunction, wear and structural defects. We’ll also look at working components such the compressor, aerated filters, diffusers and air-blower.
If we find a minor fault that can be repaired at the point of discovery, we’ll take care of it there and then. During these check it may also transpire that your plant needs to be emptied. Additional faults will need to be quoted for.
Effluent quality legal limits
It’s important to note that there are rules surrounding the quality of the effluent discharged by any sewage treatment plant. During our service we will check the effluent meets the legal guidelines set out by the Environment Agency.
This test will also reveal if there are any serious problems with your system. If that’s the case we will consult with you about your options and the best route to take. Costs will be outlined before any repair work is undertaken.
Signed report detailing work
At the end of our service we will provide you with a signed report with full details of the work undertaken. Additionally we’ll details effluent quality and any recommendations for the future. This is a sort of sewage treatment system MOT certificate. The end result will be a certificate you can present to the Environment Agency if required.
